Use in Pregnancy
- When used in pregnancy, drugs that act directly on the renin-angiotensin system can cause injury and even death to developing fetus.
- When Pregnancy is detected, these drugs should be discontinued as soon as possible.

Note: Recent changes in some ACE inhibitor black boxes were introduced in 2007 per this announcement. Please check with the most current labeling for pregnancy restrictions before prescribing. When pregnancy is detected, the drug should be discontinued as soon as possible.
